Cantillon Sang Bleu
Sang Bleu — blue blood — takes its name from the haskap berry, also known as camerise or blue honeysuckle. A relatively recent addition to the Cantillon lineup, and a distinctive one: the berries bring an unusual fruit profile, somewhere between raspberry and blueberry with its own mineral edge, that integrates differently from the more familiar Rosé de Gambrinus.
Pours a striking deep crimson. Tart berries, floral notes, lambic funk underneath. Less obviously funky than the Scarabée, more complex than the Rosé. For the collector and the curious in equal measure.
