2017 was one of the Douro's great years — hot, concentrated, the kind of growing season that produces vintage ports with serious longevity. Dow's is a classic name in the region for good reason: dark plum, cassis, chocolate, firm but not harsh tannins.

At €82.40 this is an occasion bottle — open it for dinner, pour it alongside a good cheese or dark chocolate, or cellar it for another decade if you have the patience. (We don't recommend the patience, but we respect it.)
