Hampden Pagos '23 52° 70cl

Hampden Estate is one of the last Jamaican estates making genuinely traditional pot-still rum with naturally high ester levels — the technical way of saying it's funky in a very good way. Ripe banana, mango, overripe tropical fruit, an earthy molasses base that grounds it.

At 52° it has weight but it's not trying to knock you over. If you've only ever had smooth Caribbean rum, this will recalibrate your expectations. That's a compliment.
